Advantages

  • Affordable entry price

  • sufficient for initial DIY tests

  • easy to re-cover with screen fabric

Disadvantages

  • Must be fitted by the user. Can warp in humid conditions. Shorter lifespan with frequent cleaning/chemicals. Fabric tension is variable. Less dimensionally stable with repeated use. Not suitable for multi-color screen printing using a carousel.

Recommendation

Good for a small number of prints and budget setups. Suitable for textile printing with coarser fabrics (e.g., 32T–43T).

  • cannot be easily re-covered

Recommendation

For precise, repeatable prints (machine-stretched). Ideal for 54T all-round to 120T+ and non-absorbent materials.
