DIY Screen Printing Frame A2 in Wood (EU Production)

The large version for bigger designs: environmentally friendly, tool-free assembly, and ready to use immediately. The wooden strips connect easily, and the included mesh can then be stretched by yourself. The usable area is A2+ – slightly larger than A2 – providing generous edges for masking, positioning, and test prints.

Mesh Selection

Choose the mesh type that suits your needs:

54T – optimal for textile printing: opaque ink coverage, ideal for cotton and blended fabrics
77T – recommended for paper & cardboard: finer print, less ink deposit

Note:
54T is suitable for large, opaque designs and medium to coarse details. Coarser paper printing is also possible. 77T is ideal for fine lines, posters, or coated paper as less ink is transferred.

Required Accessories (Not Included)

Stapler / Staple Gun + staples
Cutter or scissors to trim the mesh
Optional: masking tape, mesh glue for clean edges, squeegee (width ≈ design width + 2–3 cm)

Assembly & Stretching:

Assemble the frame: Connect the strips flat and at right angles.
Position the mesh: Center with slight tension.
Staple: Alternate opposite sides from the center outwards – ensures even tension.
Secure edges: Cover staples and frame edges with tape or glue, mask the print area.

Use & Care

Inks: Especially suitable for water-based screen printing inks; for solvent-based systems, follow manufacturer instructions and ensure proper ventilation.
Substrates: Textiles, paper, cardboard; for heavily coated paper, prefer 77T.
Cleaning: Wash ink off promptly with lukewarm soapy water, lay flat to dry. Store cool, dry, and protected from light.

Why A2+?

The larger area provides more room for registration, tape edges, and test prints without restricting your design – ideal for small runs, posters, and larger textile designs.
