DIY A2 wooden screen printing frame (EU manufactured)

The large version for large-format designs: sustainably produced, assembled without tools, and ready to use in no time. The wooden strips are simply slotted together, and you then stretch the included screen fabric yourself. The usable printing area is A2+ – slightly larger than A2 – and offers convenient border zones for masking, aligning, and test prints .

Fabric selection

Select the appropriate fabric type in the product variant:

• 54T – for textile printing : higher, more opaque ink coverage (ideal for cotton & blended fabrics)

• 77T – for paper & cardboard : finer print image, lower ink application

Tip:
54T is suitable for full-surface, opaque designs and medium to coarse details.
77T is the first choice for fine lines, poster prints and coated papers, as less ink is transferred.

Scope of delivery

• Plug-in wooden frame (kit)

• Cut-to-size screen fabric (54T or 77T depending on selection)

Required accessories (not included)

• Stapler/stapler + staples

• Cutter/scissors for trimming

• Optional: masking tape , fabric adhesive for clean edges, squeegee (width ≈ motif width + 2–3 cm)

Assembly & Covering – in a nutshell

1. Assemble the frame: Assemble the strips flat and at right angles.

2. Apply fabric: Fix in the center with slight tension.

3. Staple: Alternately staple opposite sides from the center outwards – this ensures even tension.

4. Seal edges: Cover staples/inner edge with tape or glue, mask off print area.

Application & Care

• Paints: Particularly suitable for water-based paints; for solvent-based systems, observe manufacturer's instructions and ensure good ventilation.

• Substrates: Textiles, paper, cardboard; for heavily coated papers, preferably use 77T.

• Cleaning: Wash out the color promptly (lukewarm soapy solution), allow to dry flat. Store in a cool, dry place away from light.
