Degreaser concentrate 10:1

Our 10:1 degreaser concentrate is a concentrated, liquid degreaser for pretreating screen mesh and screen printing frames. Pretreatment is necessary when new or used screen printing frames and mesh need to be coated with photo emulsion.

1L of concentrate is enough for 10L of finished degreaser!

What does this product do and what is it used for?

Degreasing the screen mesh is an important and necessary process for ensuring the photographic emulsion adheres securely to the mesh. This pretreatment removes all traces of grease, such as those left behind by fingerprints. These residues prevent optimal cross-linking between the photographic emulsion and the screen mesh, reducing adhesion. This, in turn, leads to poor exposure results and premature detachment of the photoemulsion layer (solidified photoemulsion).

Treatment is therefore highly recommended!

Application:
The degreaser concentrate must be diluted 10:1 with water. The ready-to-use product is then poured or sprayed from the bottle onto both sides of the sieve and applied with a sponge or microfiber cloth, or sprayed on and carefully massaged into the sieve. After two to three minutes, the degreaser must be rinsed out of the sieve with clean water. Please ensure that the degreaser does not dry out in the sieve!

After this pretreatment, the screen printing frame should dry in a dust-free environment. Optionally, drying can also be done with a hairdryer or hot air blower. Caution: Excessive heat can damage the screen mesh, so always maintain a sufficient distance.
