For Perfect Adhesion of Your Photo Emulsion
DEGREASER is our ready-to-use degreaser for pretreating screen fabrics and screen printing frames. Pretreatment is necessary when new or used screen printing frames and fabrics need to be coated with photo emulsion.
What does this product do and what is it used for?
Degreasing is an important and necessary process for ensuring the photo emulsion adheres properly to the screen printing frame. During this pretreatment, the degreaser removes all traces of grease, such as those left behind by fingerprints. These residues prevent optimal cross-linking between the photo emulsion and the screen mesh, reducing adhesion. This, in turn, leads to poor exposure results and premature detachment of the photo emulsion layer (solidified photo emulsion).
Treatment is therefore highly recommended!
Application:
The degreaser is poured from the bottle onto both sides of the sieve, applied with a sponge or microfiber cloth, or sprayed on and carefully massaged into the sieve. After two to three minutes, the degreaser must be rinsed out of the sieve with clean water. Please ensure that the degreaser does not dry out in the sieve!
After this pretreatment, the screen printing frame should dry in a dust-free environment. Optionally, drying can also be done with a hairdryer or hot air blower. Caution: Excessive heat can damage the screen mesh, so always maintain a sufficient distance!
