One-component photo emulsion for immediate screen coating
Easy-to-use hybrid photo emulsion for creating screen printing stencils for manual screen printing. This photo emulsion is applied to both sides of the screen mesh of a screen printing frame using a coating trough, dried at ambient temperature or up to 36°C, and then exposed with your design.
We'll show you exactly how to do this in our screen printing guide "Do-it-yourself screen printing".
Attention! This product is very light-sensitive and should only be processed under yellow light. Please use our suitable yellow light lamp.
- For printing with our water-based, plastisol and discharge screen printing inks (no additional curing required but optionally possible)
- Due to the high solids content, both delicate, fine motifs and coarse motifs can be exposed with excellent edge sharpness.
- Suitable for exposure via daylight
- Our emulsion remover can also be used to remove the emulsion from the screen after exposure. Apply the remover to both sides of the screen, allow it to soak in, and then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
Color: Blue
Instructions for use:
Stir the photo emulsion thoroughly with a wooden spatula before use. Do not use metal spatulas! Allow any air bubbles to escape after stirring. To do this, cover the can with the lid and wait a few minutes. Apply the emulsion to both sides of the screen mesh of the screen printing frame using the aluminum coating trough.
For optimal results, the frame should be stored horizontally with the printed side (red) facing down after coating and left to dry. Ensure a dust-free environment. The emulsion can also be dried with a hairdryer, maintaining a sufficient distance from the screen. Exposure can then take place after drying.
Since the coated layer on the frame is extremely sensitive to light, please always store it in the dark.
Exposure times:
This emulsion hardens after an exposure time of just 3 minutes and 30 seconds using a 500-watt halogen lamp. With our LED exposure lamp, the process takes 25 minutes.
Distance between light source and screen: Depending on the size of the motif and the frame size.
- A4 minimum 35-45cm
- A3 minimum 45-55cm
- A3 minimum 55-65cm
Exposure should take place at a distance of 60-70 cm from the screen mesh. We offer suitable exposure units for this purpose.
Durability:
The emulsion has a shelf life of 2 years unopened. Once opened, store in a cool place.
