Unprinted screen printing films DIN A4 for inkjet printers for high blackness and clean exposure (DIY & Pro)

Our single-sided coated inkjet screen printing films in DIN A4 (210 × 297 mm) are slightly milky and designed to print opaque black film positives – perfect for exposing screen printing stencils at home, in the studio or in the workshop.
The special coating on the print side absorbs significantly more ink than ordinary transparent films. This results in high optical density (Dmax), sharp edges, shorter exposure times, and reliably closed surfaces, usually with just one film.

Compatibility: Can be printed with standard inkjet printers (piezo & thermal; e.g. Epson, Canon, HP) and dye or pigment inks .

Advantages at a glance

  • Very high coverage thanks to a special coating on one side

  • Fine details & sharp edges – less underexposure during exposure

  • A4 format : ideal for individual designs, tests & proofs, low waste

  • Compatible with common inkjet printers, dye & pigment

  • Streak-free results with appropriate print settings

Here's how to use the films correctly

  1. Print side: The slightly roughened/matte side is the print side (feels minimally "grip").

  2. Mirroring: Print motifs in reverse so that the ink faces the emulsion during exposure.

  3. Print settings:

    • Media type “Photographic paper/film” or “High resolution” , quality “Best”

    • Photo/matte black (if selectable) for maximum density

    • High resolution (e.g. 1440 dpi or more)

  4. Drying: Allow the printout to dry flat (a few minutes), do not wipe.

  5. Exposure: Place the film with the ink side against the coated screen side (contact). Please note that the image will be printed in reverse on the screen side.

Practical tips for maximum coverage

  • In the driver, turn off color management and, if necessary, " print darker" , increase contrast .

  • No laser printer (heat damages film and device).

  • For very critical images: place two printouts precisely on top of each other (usually not necessary).

  • Store in a dust-free, flat, and dry place; do not touch the printed side with fingers.

Why use specialized inkjet screen printing films?

Use normal transparent films Too little ink – the black density is often insufficient for short exposure times and clean stencils. Our specially coated Dipilu A4 films are optimized for this: more ink, more density, better sharpness – for reliable exposure in the screen printing frame.

Note: Always print on the slightly roughened side .
